Below is the information from the Denver Design Week event page:
“A monastic chamber enclosed with half-eaten, concrete-encrusted hay bales. Three poured-in-place masses caught in a balancing act on the edge of a barren mesa. The emotional impact of the work by award-winning architects Antón García-Abril and Débora Mesa of Ensamble Studio has enraptured architectural photographer James Florio for years. For his newly released book, Radical Logic: On the Work of Ensamble Studio, Florio dedicated three years to documenting Ensamble’s materially intelligent and anachronistic work in Spain, Mexico, and the United States, shooting medium-format film specifically with the design of the book in mind. In his visit to Denver Design Week, Florio will speak about the process of making this intimate and impressive work alongside editor Iker Gil and publisher MAS Context. The audience members will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a small gallery of original prints, view the book, with both available for purchase.”
