Alvaro Martin Blanco

Alvaro Martin Blanco is a photographer and director of photography whose work is shaped by more than twenty years of experience in film, commercials, TV series, documentaries, and branded content across Europe and the United States. Born and raised in Bilbao, Spain, he developed an early fascination with architecture amid the industrial landscapes of the Basque Country. He studied Fine Arts and Photography before attending a cinematography seminar at Cinecittà in Rome. He went on to study at ECAM (Escuela de Cinematografía y del Audiovisual de la Comunidad de Madrid) and spent the next two decades working internationally as a Director of Photography. Today, based in Chicago, he brings his cinematic approach to architecture and interior design, creating photography and films shaped by light, atmosphere, material, and space.
