Alvaro Puntoni

Alvaro Puntoni is an architect who graduated from FAU-USP in 1987. He received his Master’s in 1998 and PhD in 2005 from the same institution. Since 2002, he has taught studio at FAU-USP and is an associate professor at the Escola da Cidade, of which he was one of the two founders and is currently its president (2019–2024). In the same institution, since 2010 he has coordinated the Curso de Especializaçao América–Geografia, Cidade e Arquitectura with Fernando Viegas. He is a founder of the São Paulo-based architecture office GRUPOSP.
