David Salkin

About

Trained in Architecture, David Salkin’s primary practice involves manipulating plans and grids to form patterns and images that are meant to be inhabited and read as prototypes for new urban formations. However, custom projects consider the richness of the world to include a myriad of themes and patterns. Salkin works with Nepalese master weavers on bespoke hand-dyed and hand-knotted rugs in wool, silk, hemp, mohair, and cactus. Other surface-design projects include custom rugs, wall coverings, special collaborations, textile development, and pattern installations.
