Diego Sologuren
About
Diego Sologuren studied architecture at ETSA San Sebastián and later at KU Leuven — Sint-Lucas Brussels, where he completed a Master’s in Urban Studies. He has developed his career internationally. In 2014, he joined the studio of Francis Kéré, an experience that deeply shaped his understanding of architecture through values of honesty, economy of means, and formal simplicity. His work aims to critically subvert convention, generating inquiries around territory, action, matter, and memory. He has collaborated with institutions such as the Trienal de Arquitectura de Lisboa (2020), Tbilisi Architecture Biennial (2020), AZ Bilbao (2021), Mugak Architecture Biennial (2023/2025), Lausanne Jardins (2024), and OPEN House (2025). His projects and writings have appeared in New Generations, Bartlebooth, Fundación Arquia, and Urbanbat. His trajectory has been recognized by the Peña Ganchegui Archive (finalist, 2017), Future Architecture Platform (2020), and EUROPAN (2021/2023). He currently teaches at IED Kunsthal Bilbao.
