Ellen Grimes

Ellen Grimes is an architect, critic, and editor. She is an associate professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (AIADO SAIC). She has worked at Bruce Mau Design, Garofalo Architects, and Greg Lynn Form working on projects in Chicago, New York, Thailand, China, and Canada. She is the editor of the book Bowling: Water, Architecture, Urbanism on the work of Urbanlab that explores new infrastructural typologies and their political, social, and ecological dimension. She has published numerous essays in publications such as LOG, the Journal of Architectural Education, and Contents (edited by Rem Koolhaas).
