Justin Miller
About
Justin Miller is an architectural historian at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee Cultural Resource Management program, a research center specializing in historic preservation and archaeological consulting. Justin is the author of multiple National Register of Historic Places nominations and studies, including a nomination for Wisconsin’s earliest neighborhood of International Style houses and a comprehensive citywide survey of Milwaukee’s twentieth-century houses of worship. Justin led the first formal effort to assemble a complete inventory and thematic context statement on Alonzo Robinson Jr., Wisconsin’s first Black registered architect. Currently conducting research on Catholic modernist architect Henry Slaby, Justin also serves as a board member and former chapter chair for Docomomo US/Chicago, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to modernist architecture and design.
