About

Nahyun Hwang and David Eugin Moon are partners of N H D M, an NYC-based practice for design and research in architecture and urbanism. N H D M pursues an expanded practice of architecture across disciplinary borders and modes of output, involving rigorously articulated research, visionary propositions, and provocative built work, often in direct dialogue with the cultural, political, economic, and ecological complexities of the contemporary built environment. N H D M’s work has been presented at the 2014 and 2021 International Architecture Exhibition at Venice Biennale, the 5th and 6th International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam, the Storefront for Art and Architecture, and the Center for Architecture New York, among others, and recognized through numerous awards including the 2020 Architectural Record Design Vanguard award, the 2018 AIANY New Practices New York award, 2012, 2014, 2018, and 2022 AIANY Design Awards. Both Hwang and Moon hold master’s degrees in Architecture from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University and teach at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Preservation, and Planning.
