Naomi Pollock

Naomi Pollock is an American architect who writes about design and architecture in Japan. Her work has appeared in various publications on both sides of the Pacific, including the The New York Times, A+U, Dwell, Jutakutokushu, Kinfolk, Wallpaper* and Architectural Record for whom she is a Contributing Editor. In addition, she is the author of numerous books, including Jutaku: Japanese Houses, Sou Fujimoto, Japanese Design Since 1945: A Complete Sourcebook, The Japanese House Since 1945, and Vanishing Japan: Modern Architecture Gone But Not Forgotten. She was also the editor of NUNO: Visionary Japanese Textiles. In recognition of her contributions as a journalist and critic, she was invited into the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects in 2018.
