About
Nick Senske is a co-founder of the Computation + Construction Lab and the coordinator of the second-year undergraduate studios at Iowa State University. His work applies research and methods from computer science and education to improve how architects learn computational methods and apply them in their designs. It also draws from these cross-disciplinary connections to examine issues of access and equity as they relate to architects’ engagement with technology. Senske’s contributions create impact by improving computational design pedagogy and the integration of computation into beginning design curricula, fostering gender equity and the democratization of technology, and leveraging advanced computation and construction processes to engage local communities in Iowa.
