Peter Landon is the founder and principal of LBBA, a Chicago-based architectural practice established in 1987 and recognized for its responsible, community-focused approach to design. A champion of social consciousness and diversity in the field, Peter is known for his work in city planning, development, and design supporting neighborhood revitalization throughout Chicago, the Midwest, and beyond. Under his leadership, the firm has received numerous honors, including multiple AIA Chicago Distinguished Building Awards, Divine Detail Awards, Preservation Awards, and multiple Richard H. Driehaus Awards for Architectural Excellence in Community Design. Peter has also received an AIA Chicago Lifetime Achievement Award and the Society of Architectural Historians’ Award for Excellence in Design, Planning, and Sustainability. Peter regularly contributes to conferences, panel discussions, and lectures, mentoring, sharing his experience, and advancing the conversation around making better design accessible to everyone.
