MAS Context x Luftwerk x Marina City

Artistic duo Luftwerk and MAS Context organized an event in Chicago’s Marina City to continue their recent work in architecturally significant buildings such as the Robie House, Fallingwater, and Farnsworth House.

Contributors

For this occasion, Luftwerk created a site-specific video and light installation that took place on the rooftop of the West Tower. This event was organized to celebrate Marina City, its architect Bertrand Goldberg, and Chicago.

Thanks so much to Petra Bachmaier and Sean Gallero from Luftwerk, Liviu Pasare, Benny, David Schalliol, the Marina City Condo Board, and all the Marina City residents and their guests who attended the event.

Luftwerk

Luftwerk explores light, color, and perception in immersive, installations. Focused on the context of a site for each project, Luftwerk applies their interpretive layer, integrating physical structure, historical context, and embedded information into each piece. Since founding 2007, Luftwerk has amassed a significant body of work ranging from site-specific installations to experimental projects that interpret data. Luftwerk is the artistic collaboration of Petra Bachmaier and Sean Gallero.
