The Space Within the Fold
Since its founding in 1982, Madrid-based architecture office Sancho-Madridejos has developed vast research around the concept of space, such as tone, void, poles, and fold. This investigative process has materialized in a series of remarkable projects built throughout the years, such as the Chapel in Valleacerón, the community center in Alcobendas, and the 14 Viñas winery in Picón. Last year, the office completed a series of singular projects such as the Center for Innovation and Business Development–CAT in Segovia, and the IESE Business School in Madrid.
This lecture sought to explain their built projects as a result of this investigative process, common to all of their work.
