Roy Beeson

Roy Beeson is a portrait photographer living in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, with close family ties to New Orleans. He studied English and creative writing at the University of Georgia in Athens. After school he spent a period of time in New York, where he worked as a researcher and in editing rooms on documentary films. Later, while working in Lebanon and Syria, he became passionately interested in photography and moved back to New York in 2002 after finishing a degree in photography at the Creative Circus in Atlanta. He has worked for many editorial and corporate clients and NGOs in Afghanistan.
