About
Samer Sharif is a photographer, trainer, and activist. Born in Jerusalem, he got involved in social movements as a teenager. He currently leads many youth groups, such as the “Tijwal Safar” travel group, which has been organizing tours since 2011 to Palestinian villages, with the aim of learning and documenting the nature, beauty, and simplicity of the villages. Upon acquiring his B.A in media journalism and political science at Birzeit University, he developed his skills in photography, following his passion. He then worked as a photographer for Birzeit University and numerous cultural institutions and festivals in Palestine. Samer is currently interested in documenting place and everyday life. His work focuses on reflecting ways humans inhabit space and their relationship to the temporal, the urban, and nature.
